Key points:
- 1All-in-one depth
- ClickFunnels 2.0 goes far beyond funnels, with strong email marketing, automation, CRM, courses, communities, and analytics
- 2Best for complex businesses
- It makes the most sense for established creators, agencies, and marketers running layered customer journeys.
- 3Tradeoff is complexity and cost
- The platform is powerful, but the learning curve is steep and pricing is hard to justify for beginners or lean businesses.
- 4Not ideal for everything
- ClickFunnels is a poor fit for serious blogging and native webinars. Some businesses will still need outside tools.
I first heard about ClickFunnels back in 2015 after reading Russell Brunson's "DotCom Secrets," but I always dismissed it as hype built around cult-of-personality marketing.
But 10 years later, ClickFunnels still comes up in conversations, so I decided to test ClickFunnels 2.0 firsthand.
What I learned is that while ClickFunnels is expensive and has a steep learning curve, the platform's depth and sophistication surprised me. ClickFunnels isn't just a funnel builder with a marketing wrapper. It's a legitimately sophisticated all-in-one system that rivals best-in-class tools across multiple categories.
Wondering if ClickFunnels is right for your business? In this ClickFunnels review, I'll walk you through all its features to show you what works, what's frustrating, and whether it's worth the premium price in 2026.
What Is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels is a website builder designed specifically to turn visitors into customers. It was co-founded by Russell Brunson, the author of “DotCom Secrets.” That book sold software, but it also sparked a massive movement toward funnel-based marketing. This lasting cultural effect is why ClickFunnels is often seen less as a simple software tool and more as a philosophy for selling to people online.
While a traditional website is like a digital brochure where people can wander around aimlessly, a funnel is more like a guided path. It represents the customer journey as a narrowing process that starts by attracting a wide audience (awareness) and filtering them into interested prospects (leads). It culminates in a final, focused action at the bottom of the funnel (sale or conversion).

ClickFunnels was one of the first to introduce the funnel concept. And it provides the tools to build that journey without needing to code.
ClickFunnels Classic vs. 2.0
Before I get into reviewing ClickFunnels, let’s clarify which ClickFunnels I'm talking about. ClickFunnels Classic, which launched in 2014, was a revolutionary but fragmented tool that often required duct-taping third-party apps to work.
ClickFunnels 2.0, released in 2021, is a complete ground-up rebuild. It’s designed as an all-in-one operating system with faster speeds, a visual automation builder, and native blogging.
In this review, I’ll be testing ClickFunnels 2.0 firsthand to see if this "all-in-one" pivot delivers on its promise or if it’s simply trying to do too much at once.
Getting Started with Clickfunnels
ClickFunnels is the ultimate example of "drinking their own Kool-Aid." Even their user onboarding is a high-pressure sales funnel that prioritizes psychological upsells.

Russel Brunson is offering hand-hold coaching packages as an upsell.
By offering coaching packages and upgrades after signup, they’re increasing how much each customer spends over time, starting from the very first interaction.
But … it felt a bit overwhelming when I was just looking for a quiet workspace to build.
Once inside the platform, I was taken through a personalized onboarding process as I started building the workspace for my SaaS SEO consulting service, “SaaS SEO Pro.”
Unlike Systeme.io, a competitor I’ve also reviewed, ClickFunnels offers a polished, intuitive onboarding experience that feels intentional. They ask a set of onboarding questions, such as business category, experience level, and audience size to personalize the in-app experience.

Once inside the platform, I was met with one of the most educational welcome screens I’ve seen, which acted more like a strategic roadmap than a dashboard. It provides a clear checklist of to-dos, links to upcoming onboarding calls, a library of ready-to-use templates, and links to recent challenges.
One cool feature is the "Personal Marketing Coach" section. With one click, it opens a chat interface with a real human.

The to-do lists suggested I start by:
- Connecting my domain name.
- Importing my contact list into ClickFunnels.
- Setting up my first funnel.
- And setting up my payment processor.
ClickFunnel’s AI chat, Omni, provided detailed information for each step.

Setting Up a Domain Name
While you can use the free domain that comes with your signup (like saasseopro.myclickfunnels.com), you need to connect a real domain name to look professional.
ClickFunnels lets you use your own domain or purchase a new one directly from the platform. This is so convenient. Plus, it’s free for the first year.

Setting Up Your Email Address
If you want to send emails from ClickFunnels, you also need to connect your email sending domain and set up a custom email address.
ClickFunnels offers a trial email address you can use while playing around with templates. Yes, it’s limited to 100 emails sent, but that’s more than enough to assess the tool.

Importing Contacts
If you’re migrating a list, prepare for a battle with the CSV importer. ClickFunnels 2.0 is notoriously picky about data validation.
You cannot have empty fields, and address formatting must be exact (City, State, and Zip often need separate, perfectly labeled columns) or the entire row will fail.
Unlike more forgiving platforms that let you fix errors on the fly, ClickFunnels will often kick back the entire file for a single missing cell. I couldn’t even figure out why it gives an error for some rows, so I simply gave up on uploading my contacts for the time being.
Setting Up Payments and Payments AI
ClickFunnels offers easy-to-set-up payment options for first-time sellers and new creators looking to go live ASAP.
You can either use Payments AI, Clickfunnels’ native payment platform, or connect directly to Stripe.
Note: Once I started connecting Payments AI, I couldn’t remove it and switch to Stripe. So choose carefully!
ClickFunnels’ native payment platform acts as a hub that allows you to connect multiple processors and manage them all in one place.

Payments AI dashboard
It took me less than 10 minutes to set up, and the Stripe connection was super smooth.
Payments AI also supports its own native Stripe alternative, so you don’t need Stripe or PayPal. This makes collecting payments easier, especially if it’s your first time selling products online. You simply have to connect a credit card or a bank account to start receiving money.
Payments AI comes up with a set of advanced features aimed at optimizing revenue, like:
- Smart Routing: Set rules to direct sales to different gateways (for example, U.S. sales through Stripe, international sales through PayPal).
- Advanced Dunning: A built-in recovery system that automatically retries failed payments and prompts customers to update cards with emails.
- One-Click Upsells: Smooth post-purchase offers without technical friction.

The price for the native gateway is 2.9% + $0.30 per successful transaction, and an additional +0.5% for the advanced features.
On top of that, they charge an additional +1% for Stripe and other gateways. Depending on the buyer's card, things can get quite ugly there, too, with some charges costing you more than 4%.
You’ll want to estimate whether the convenience and revenue-optimization features are worth the additional fees you’d pay compared to using the direct Stripe connection. I’d personally avoid it for margin-thin products or high-ticket offers, where 4% can be a significant absolute amount.
ClickFunnels Key Features
Once the boring housekeeping was out of the way, I started building my first funnel. I’ll take you through the key features I encountered as I got set up.
Product Sales
Before you can build a funnel that sells, you have to define what you’re selling.
With ClickFunnels 2.0, product creation is handled in a central dashboard instead of inside each funnel step. This gives you more control to build personalized offers and higher-value sales journeys, and it works as intended.
Pro Tip: If you're just planning a simple funnel to collect emails (a squeeze funnel), you don’t need this step.
Product Types
ClickFunnels offers three product types: Digital, Physical, and Bundles. Bundles is still in development, so it's grayed out and has been that way for more than a year. (It’s worth noting that these teasers and bugs in ClickFunnels are a common complaint for many users.)

For my SEO agency, I can set up the ebook as a digital product and offer my service program as a retainer with a monthly subscription.
Product Pricing
When setting your prices, you’ll choose from three main structures:
- One-Time: A single upfront payment for digital or physical goods.
- Subscription: Recurring billing where you set the frequency (monthly, yearly, etc.), including the ability to configure a trial period.
- Payment Plan: A set number of installments (e.g., 3 payments of $100). You can even add a setup fee to the first payment.

The best part is that you can create multiple price packages for each product without duplicating the product. For instance, you can have Black Friday pricing that you can easily show and hide in your store or on specific funnels.

Setting up multiple pricing packages for products.
Overall, the pricing options are extremely flexible, so I was pleasantly surprised.
Product Settings
The product settings allow you to define the price, SKU, size, and other traditional ecommerce options you’d expect. You can also create variants, such as colors and sizes.

One other thing that sets ClickFunnels apart is the option to display your product in a dedicated Online Store (different from the funnels), which I’ll review later.
Pro Tip: To create a Bundle-like product, you can use workflow automations. Just create the product bundle, set the price to the total bundled cost, then use automation to deliver all the elements in your bundle. To the customer, it appears as a single product on the checkout page. On the backend, your workflow unlocks the bundle and delivers all the individual components instantly.
Funnel Builder
Whether you’re looking to capture emails, sell physical inventory, or host a high-ticket event, ClickFunnels provides pre-built blueprints. These templates guide the customer journey from the first click to the final conversion.
By looking at the pre-built funnels, it’s clear that ClickFunnels targets conversion-focused entrepreneurs who want to move beyond Shopify’s browsing experience and guide users toward a single hero offer. From testing, it stands out as one of the most advanced marketing builders, with a visual canvas, conditional logic, and highly personalized offers.
Funnel Types
The pre-made funnels are organized into four primary strategic categories:
- Lead Funnels: Simple pages designed to capture email signups, like free download pages or online event registrations.
- Unboxing Funnels: Funnels designed to sell a low-cost product first, then increase revenue with upsells and additional offers.
- Presentation Funnels: Funnels that use videos or live presentations (like webinars or product launches) to explain an offer and build interest before selling.
- Phone Funnels: Funnels designed to book calls for high-ticket services.
- Other Funnels: Specialized funnels that use strategies like warming up visitors, asking questions, or offering limited-time deals to drive sales.

Funnel types are a great starting point for beginners and advanced marketers alike.
These templates helped me think through different strategies for SaaS SEO Pro. I could use a book funnel for my “SaaS SEO” ebook, a lead capture page for my newsletter, and a video sales funnel for my high-ticket SEO services. Of course, you can create a funnel from scratch, too.
I started with a presentation funnel, specifically a video sales funnel or video sales letter (VSL). This funnel uses a single video to walk viewers through the offer before asking for the sale.
Each funnel strategy comes with a set of steps, templates, and straightforward tutorials from Russel Brunson to help you start. This is so helpful, especially for first-time funnel builders.

The main funnel building happens on a visual drag-and-drop canvas. Here, all funnel steps (pages) and important information, like funnel and step metrics, are available at a glance. The VSL funnel comes with a sales page, order form, upsell page, and order confirmation.

While intimidating at first, I got used to this builder quickly. When you add a new page, you can select from 68 templates grouped into opt-in, thank-you, sales, order pages, and more. One thing that really annoys me, though, is that there's no easy way to select pages that match the style you’re going for.

Pro Tip: Watch for the yellow warning signs, which indicate an issue you need to fix on the funnel step.

A funnel step with an error.
Conditional Split Paths
Conditional split paths are one of the most powerful upgrades in ClickFunnels 2.0. It’s If/Then logic built directly into your funnel. Instead of sending every visitor through the exact same sequence, the system evaluates the user and splits the path.

Real examples:
- Based on Purchase: If a customer buys my SEO ebook, the path sends them to a high-ticket SEO coaching upsell. If they don't buy, the path redirects them to my SEO course.
- Based on Behavior: You can split the path based on whether they watched a certain percentage of your video or clicked a specific link in an email.
- Based on Data: You can segment users by their tags or even their geographic location.
The conditions are, in fact, quite comprehensive, including contact attributes, contact activity, product behavior, and more. And you can combine them with “and/or” rules, which is exactly what I’d expect from a powerful marketing tool.

Trigger Workflows from Funnels
If you want to go more advanced, you can trigger Workflows from each step by clicking the flash icon to the right of the step or by selecting “Attach Workflow” from the three-dot menu.
For instance, you can trigger a workflow when a purchase is successful. This will also be reflected in the actual workflow, so it's essentially just a shortcut to add triggers.

Split Testing
Split testing (or A/B testing) lets you run two versions of the same page simultaneously to see which converts better. You can compare two completely different pages, too. I recommend testing the same page but with incremental changes. That way, you know for sure why something performs better.

ClickFunnels doesn’t support an automated winner selection, so it’s up to you to decide the winner. Set a note in your calendar to check the results after 14-30 days and see which page performs best based on orders and sales.
Smart Funnels
Smart Funnels are ClickFunnels' AI response to creating a funnel. It’s an AI step-by-step wizard that generates a personalized funnel based on a set of colors, image style, and copy you define.

I found it super helpful as a starting point, and more convenient than starting with a pre-defined template. I used it to create an SEO Summit funnel that attracts leads and upsells my SEO coaching service. All in all, I was very happy with the final result.

My SEO summit opt-in page.

Now that I’ve reviewed the funnel builder, let's get into the actual design of the pages of the funnel.
Website Builder
ClickFunnels 2.0 introduces a full-fledged site builder designed to host your entire brand under one roof. You can use it to build funnels, landing pages, and entire websites.
I've used a bunch of website builders over the last 10 years, including Elementor, Webflow, Framer, and many others. I can say the ClickFunnels drag-and-drop builder is on par with the leaders when it comes to marketing-focused design. It’s built for marketers who want complete control over the look and functionality of their funnels, which might be overkill if you're just starting out or simply need a quick funnel live. In that case, a platform like Systeme.io might be a better fit.
But the ClickFunnels website builder is still conversion-first, design-second. If you want the pixel-perfect creative freedom (and code access) of a tool like Webflow or the infinite plugin library of WordPress, you’ll find the ClickFunnels builder a bit boxy and restrictive.
Some of the website builder’s notable features include:
Style Guide
I love that ClickFunnels has invested in making a thorough style guide, giving you the freedom to set fonts, colors, shadows, buttons, and more. The best part is that these styles will carry over across the pre-made blocks. This means you don’t have to reapply them to every single element you drag onto your website.

Page Design Architecture
The builder comes with a layout map that makes it easy to navigate more complex designs and rearrange, copy, and delete sections. You can also optimize mobile design by hiding or showing blocks.
Universal elements are used across the whole website, making them easy to apply to each page.
Sections and Elements
Sections act as the structural containers that span the width of your page. They provide the foundation for your design, like headers, hero areas, and feature lists. ClickFunnels comes with a ton of pre-defined templates.

Elements sit within rows and columns and are the bits that users interact with. From basic headlines and images to high-conversion tools like countdown timers, ClickFunnels impressed me with its selection:

ClickFunnels separates design from content in a unique way. When you add products, courses, or blog posts to your pages, you're actually placing dynamic placeholders, not the content itself. These placeholders automatically populate with content from whichever product or entity you connect to them. Essentially, the website builder is used to define how things are displayed, and the funnel builder is for what things are displayed on your pages.
The purpose of this granular approach is to make designing more flexible and less destructive. You don’t have to design and build every single product or course listing manually, and you can easily switch between products. While I love this approach, it takes some time to get used to. And it creates a steeper learning curve for ClickFunnels, with funnel creation often taking two to three times longer compared to streamlined alternatives like Systeme.io.
Pop-ups
In ClickFunnels 2.0, the pop-up is treated as a dedicated layer of your page design rather than a simple add-on. Activation and setup are straightforward, accessible directly from the top bar, with display behavior controlled via simple dropdown options. This is refreshingly simple compared to builders like Webflow or Framer, where pop-ups often require third-party integrations or custom code.

Pop-up settings in ClickFunnels.
Site, Blog, and Customer Center
At its heart, ClickFunnels 2.0 treats Funnels and Products as the core engine, while everything else (from Sites, Courses, and Communities, to third-party integrations) is managed via an app system. The Site & Blog app lets you create a traditional website with pages (rather than a linear sales funnel). The website serves as the home of critical pages, including your blog, Customer Center, and course homepage. Of course, you can also create custom pages that aren't included in your theme by default.

What I loved about the Site app is that I could reuse the global styles that I created for my funnels to keep my brand consistent.

Customer Center
The Customer Center page is the backend of your business. By default, this page contains two main collections: courses and access to any purchased courses and downloadable assets.
I was looking for a billing area with a list of subscriptions, but couldn’t identify a way to add such an element.

Blog
ClickFunnels includes a native blog builder with straightforward styling and layout customization options. However, like other ClickFunnels pages, blog elements appear as placeholders in the builder rather than showing actual content. This means you'll need to constantly toggle between the builder and preview mode to see how your blog actually looks.
Plus, for writers used to the focused editor of WordPress, the ClickFunnels blog editor is a nightmare because it treats every paragraph like a design element. Instead of just typing, you're forced to drag and drop individual text blocks, turning a simple creative process into a tedious and obnoxious layout chore. I’d personally never build a blog on ClickFunnels.

Adding a blog post in ClickFunnels
Online Store
The online store app offers a collection of all of your products (or a selection of them). It's intended for creators who want to have a centralized place for their products, but it's not a full substitute for Shopify or WooCommerce.
The idea is simple: one URL for people to browse your products, rather than landing in an isolated funnel. It takes just minutes to set up, with categories and tags available if needed, and the dashboard provides the basic metrics you need to track your sales.

However, if you’re expecting the robust, set-and-forget inventory management of Shopify, you’re going to be disappointed. The Store lacks a deep ecommerce infrastructure, there’s no automated sales tax calculation (a major headache for physical goods), and the shipping options are basic at best.
If you’re looking for dedicated ecommerce software, check out our list of the best ecommerce platforms.
Email Marketing
ClickFunnels has evolved into a high-powered email service provider (ESP). Based on my testing, it stacks up well against Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign. While you might face roadblocks with more advanced automations, it provides the level of personalization and customization I’m looking for in an ESP.
Let’s take a look at some of the key features.
Email Builder
ClickFunnels uses Befree's drag-and-drop email builder, which experienced email marketers will recognize as the gold standard for embeddable editors. Responsive breakpoints adjust automatically, and the preview toggle lets you see exactly how emails render across devices without any guesswork.

Segmentation
ClickFunnels also offers the type of segmentation I’m looking for in an email tool. I was able to target recently active people who own my SEO course and have viewed a specific step in my SEO Pro Service (the order page). These are highly targeted leads that I want to email with a special launch offer. The filters are as robust as they get, allowing you to personalize based on course enrollment, product purchase, email activity, contact attributes, and more.

Split Testing
The Broadcast app is packed with other advanced features, like Subject line split testing and throttled sending for better deliverability. I only wish they had email content split testing, but that’s a small pet peeve.

Revenue Attribution
By housing checkout and email tools in a single ecosystem, ClickFunnels skips the UTM mess and tracks ROI directly.
In your dashboard, you get three North Star metrics for every email:
- Total Revenue: The exact dollar amount that a specific email generated.
- Revenue Per Recipient (RPR): The average value of every person on that send list.
- Revenue Per Unique Click: Tells you which CTAs actually drive sales.
It’s real-time, zero-setup data that proves your email ROI without the manual spreadsheets.

I couldn’t find out what attribution model they use for this (first click or last click), unfortunately, but having any email attribution is far superior to having none. This is especially valuable for products with short sales cycles and easy tracking.
Automation Workflows
ClickFunnels includes a visual automation builder that lets you map customer journeys using "if/then" logic. You can trigger actions based on real-time behaviors, including video engagement, cart abandonment, and purchase completion.
ClickFunnels' marketing automation capabilities genuinely surprised me. They're pushing directly into ActiveCampaign's territory and, for many use cases, serve as a legitimate alternative, even for advanced marketing automation users. Given that ActiveCampaign charges $79/month for unlimited automation actions, having this built into ClickFunnels is a significant value-add.
Setting up a basic email sequence was straightforward and took less than 10 minutes from start to finish.

The workflow is well integrated into the native ecosystem, with triggers and actions for enrolling people in courses, granting community access, and updating CRM pipelines.

Workflow steps in ClickFunnels.
What surprised me about ClickFunnels' automations is the extensive library of third-party integrations available directly in the workflow builder. Everything from CRMs and lead management tools are natively connected.

Membership and Course Delivery
ClickFunnels 2.0 has moved far beyond simple protected pages to offer a dedicated course builder that rivals platforms like Kajabi. It’s designed to house your entire "value ladder," helping you move a lead from a free ebook into a structured learning management system (LMS).
There are three types of courses:
- Simple one-module courses.
- Drip courses to drip content over time.
- Custom courses.

Once you select the type, you get to choose whether the course is free or paid:

For paid courses, you must attach a product (or multiple products) that grants access to the course upon purchase.
Creating the course outline is simple and intuitive (except for a few drag-and-drop bugs), with modules, sub-modules, and lessons:

Building the actual lessons will feel familiar, as it uses the exact same UI as blog post creation.

You can upload your course content natively, as ClickFunnels supports video and audio hosting.
You can also:
- Track students’ progress via a dashboard.
- Create drip courses where you can unlock the next levels on a predefined schedule.
Overall, I found the course builder intuitive and easy to use. My only complaint is the absence of pre-made templates or an AI smart builder option, like the one available for funnels.
Communities
For years, ClickFunnels users were forced to host their tribes in distracting Facebook Groups or pay for external tools like Skool. The Communities App solves this by letting you host a white-labeled social network directly inside your workspace. Your customers get a one-login experience where they can watch your courses and engage with other members in a single, focused ecosystem.

The platform feels like a modern social feed (think Discourse) rather than a clunky forum. You can organize discussions into specific topics, allow members to post multimedia, and, most importantly, gate access based on purchases. For example, you can create a "VIP Lounge" that automatically unlocks only after a student buys your high-ticket coaching program.

ClickFunnels private communities.
Message Hub
The Message Hub is ClickFunnels 2.0’s response to the tab fatigue caused by managing multiple support channels. It functions as a centralized inbox, consolidating every customer interaction—email, SMS (via Twilio/Bandwidth), Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp—into a single, unified dashboard.
The feature also includes a live chat widget you can embed on any funnel or course page. This allows you to engage leads in real-time right when they’re ready to buy.
When chatting, you can see the lead's entire purchase history and contact data directly in the sidebar, so you'll get instant context for every conversation.
Appointments App
Scheduling is built directly into ClickFunnels with the Appointments app.
Currently, it supports one-on-one, collective calls, and round-robin calls, but group calls (needed for webinars) are still not developed.

It's similar to Calendly in terms of core functionality. You get two-way calendar syncing (Google, Outlook, etc.), automated time-zone detection, pre-qualification questions, and advanced scheduling options. You can connect Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or GoTo for conferencing.

But what’s most exciting for me is the frictionless integration with the rest of the platform. You can use merge tags to personalize the events based on customer data from the CRM, trigger automated workflows with the Automation app, or offer paid consultations by locking your calendar with a paywall. And you can set it all up natively in ClickFunnels.
CRM
I was surprised by the depth of the ClickFunnels 2.0 CRM.
The contact profiles provide an incredibly thorough birds-eye view of the customer journey. On a single screen, you can see:
- Their entire activity timeline, including every page visit, email broadcast interaction, and workflow history.
- Billing data and order history.
- Course enrollment progress.
- Appointments set.
- Surveys completed.

Segments allow you to group contacts based on a shared set of conditions. This is the kind of CRM I expect from a serious marketing tool.
For high-ticket or B2B sales, the Opportunities app takes this further by allowing you to manage deals at the company level. You can attach multiple contacts to a single opportunity, which is vital when dealing with multiple decision-makers within a single organization.

If you’re looking for a dedicated CRM, check out our list of the best CRM software.
Affiliate Tools
The Affiliate Center allows you to launch a professional referral program without paying for third-party tools like PartnerStack. You can recruit partners, manage custom commission tiers, and provide them with a dedicated portal to grab marketing assets and track their earnings. By integrating directly with your CRM, it handles the refund cool-off period automatically and keeps your sales data unified in one place.
Shortlinks
The Short Links app serves as a built-in link management tool, so you can replace long, clunky funnel URLs with concise, branded redirects (e.g., yourdomain.com/deal). Beyond tidying up social media posts, these links give you the flexibility to update a destination URL in one central place without breaking every ad or email that uses it.
They also support native A/B split testing and UTM tracking.
Webinars
ClickFunnels doesn’t offer a native webinar feature. The Group Calls feature under the Appointment apps is still under development, and the webinar funnel template is essentially a basic three-step funnel with a static opt-in page, a confirmation page, and a webinar page with an embedded YouTube video.
You can’t host live webinars or simulated evergreen webinars natively.
There's a workaround for evergreen webinars, but it's quite tedious and not something I’d personally do if I’m serious about webinars.
It’s simpler to use a dedicated platform for webinars like WebinarJam or StealthSeminar. Or, check out our list of the best webinar software for more options.
Analytics and Reporting
The analytics dashboard in ClickFunnels is a powerhouse of data. It offers an impressive breakdown from basic metrics like opt-ins and page views to MRR, total sales, and recurring subscription metrics at a glance.

The funnel metrics are on point and provide everything you need to optimize your steps for conversion.

You also get a birds-eye view of your business health with a Live View event feed that tracks every interaction, from page views to successful purchases, in real time. This feed is fully filterable, allowing you to isolate specific events, such as "Subscription Cancelled" or "Course Completed," to spot trends instantly.
The only thing missing is the ability to build custom reports. This would be especially beneficial for agencies and freelancers who build client funnels and want to highlight a specific metric.
ClickFunnels Pricing
ClickFunnels offers three pricing tiers:
- Launch ($97/month): Ideal for new creators; includes 1 website, 20 funnels, and 3 courses.
- Scale ($197/month): The best value for growing businesses; adds 6 courses, 75k contacts, and priority support.
- Optimize ($297/month): The "Agency" tier that unlocks the Affiliate Center, API access, and unlimited funnels.
Yes, ClickFunnels is more expensive than alternatives like Systeme.io ($27/mo) or Kartra ($119/mo), but the price reflects its all-in-one consolidation strategy and the depth of its features.
When you consider that you're replacing multiple tools, the math makes sense for businesses already using three or more of these platforms:
- ActiveCampaign: ($20-$100+/month)
- Calendly: ($10-$16/month)
- Kajabi: ($89-199/month)
- PartnerStack: ($800+/month)
- Teachable: ($29-$300+/month)
However, the real value isn't just feature parity; it's a unified data ecosystem where your workflows, processes, and metrics (email attribution, funnel metrics, CRM pipeline, and course completion rates) live in one dashboard, rather than scattered across Zapier integrations.
For margin-thin businesses or solopreneurs just starting, the premium is hard to justify. For established creators and agencies, ClickFunnels eliminates tool switching and delivers efficiency that all-in-one tools can’t match.
Final Verdict
I went into this review as a skeptic. I’ve always associated ClickFunnels with the fanboy hype built around Russell Brunson's cult of personality and the ugly sales pages from the 2000s. But after spending days inside ClickFunnels 2.0, I was genuinely surprised by the platform's complexity, depth, and modern interface.
ClickFunnels is a legitimately sophisticated all-in-one system that rivals best-in-class tools across multiple categories.
The marketing automation rivals ActiveCampaign. The course builder competes with Kajabi. The CRM holds its own against Pipedrive. And the fact that all of this lives under one roof with unified data attribution is powerful.
Even as a software entrepreneur who typically prefers specialized tools, I found myself tempted to consolidate my stack into ClickFunnels.
That said, this power comes at a cost. The learning curve is steep, particularly around the funnel-building process, which can take up to three times longer than simpler alternatives. If you just need a single squeeze page or landing page, ClickFunnels is overkill. And if webinars are central to your business model, you'll need to look elsewhere, as the native webinar functionality is essentially non-existent.
But for established creators, agencies, and entrepreneurs running complex customer journeys, ClickFunnels 2.0 delivers on its promise. It's not perfect, but the unified ecosystem eliminates tool-switching fatigue and creates operational efficiency that cheaper alternatives simply can't match.
Established creators and agencies running complex funnels with courses, memberships, and affiliates.

ClickFunnels Alternatives
Kajabi
Kajabi is the gold standard for high-ticket course creators and coaches who want a polished and professional student experience. Its funnel logic is simpler than ClickFunnels. But its refined learning management system and native mobile app make it the better choice for those focused on premium brand authority.
Systeme.io
The most cost-effective alternative on the market that offers a fairly limited but legit Free Forever plan. It's fast and easy to use. And it's a no-brainer for beginners or solopreneurs who need reliable funnels and email marketing without a three-figure monthly bill. That said, it just can’t compare to the depth and complexity of ClickFunnels.

Built specifically for agencies, this platform lets you white-label the entire platform and manage multiple client accounts from a single dashboard. It far surpasses ClickFunnels in omnichannel communication, offering native SMS, power dialers, and reputation management tools that are essential for service-based businesses.
Stan Store
The ultimate "link-in-bio" storefront designed for social media creators who sell directly on TikTok or Instagram. It replaces complex websites with a mobile-optimized checkout that allows followers to buy digital downloads, book coaching, or join a course in just two clicks without ever leaving their social app.
Kartra
Considered the ultimate "business-in-a-box" for those who want to eliminate tech friction by hosting everything. It has native helpdesks, video hosting, and calendars. Kartra’s behavioral adaptive marketing allows you to change page content in real time based on a visitor's history. It offers advanced features like affiliate management and deep analytics for about a third of the price of ClickFunnels’ top tiers, which makes it more affordable for soloists.

Yes, you can make money with ClickFunnels by selling your own products (or services) through the software. You can also earn by promoting the ClickFunnels software itself.
The community shares a ton of strategies (like the "Value Ladder" approach) to help you monetize your skills as a course creator or a professional. For example, you can lead customers from a free or low-cost offer (like a $7 ebook) into high-ticket coaching or digital courses using automated one-click upsells to maximize your profit.
Alternatively, you can earn passive income through their affiliate program, which pays recurring commissions (typically 30-40%) for every user you refer.
Whether you actually make money with ClickFunnels or not comes down to one simple thing: how good a marketer you are.
Why are people leaving ClickFunnels?
Why are people leaving ClickFunnels?
In 2026, many users are leaving ClickFunnels due to high costs and the all-in-one pivot, which some find clunky compared to specialized tools.
People are migrating to Systeme.io for lower prices, GoHighLevel for superior agency CRM features, and Skool for a better community-first experience.
The shift reflects a move away from aggressive funnel hacking toward platforms that offer either more bang for the buck or a deeper human connection.
That said, I couldn’t find any official earnings reports indicating that ClickFunnels' market share or revenue is declining, so the sentiment might not reflect the business reality.
Why is ClickFunnels so expensive?
